NZ Web Hosts

Most web workers will be aware that a web domain ending in .nz does not necessarily indicate the hosting servers for the company are actually located in New Zealand. However the people supporting the hosts may very well be and knowing those people are either in the same time zone, or possibly only a national phone-call away may compensate for the higher fees you typically pay for hosting at a NZ company compared to US ones.

There are dozens of operators in NZ, following though is an assortment of hosts I've either dealt with myself or have had recommended by others, that don't charge the earth for expected services, have decent uptimes, support reseller accounts and/or multiple domains, provide decent volumes of disk space and bandwidth, and have been in the game long enough to warrant consideration:

I haven't included any of the ISPs as they're typically more expensive when hosting more than one domain, or where you require additional hosting features. I've also masked out hosts that didn't have a clearly posted company profile or contact details that might otherwise indicate they have an actual NZ presence.

If you're looking for a US-based host (which will generally be cheaper than one in NZ) you should have a squizz at the watch-dog site http://www.webhostingstuff.com/ which includes customer contributed reviews and uptime rankings for loads of operators.
